Yoenis Cespedes starts Mets Spring Training with a bang, as he arrives in a customized Polaris
Yoenis Cespedes has come back to New York! After signing a 3-year, $75 million contract with an opt-out clause in the first year, “La Potencia” is looking to create more “Amazin” moments with the Mets.
He has already starting to make them, as the Cuban outfielder has arrived to Spring Training in style. Cespedes rolled into Mets camp this morning in what I can only assume was a cooler version of the Batmobile. I present: The Cesmobile!

When it comes to cool cars, Yo definitely knows his stuff. This customized Polaris Slingshot is one of the many perks Cespedes has cashed in on since joining the MLB. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the car and its added pieces cost $68,000. It is also the eighth car that Yoenis Cespedes has customized, which includes a $300,000 Lamborghini Aventador that spits fire from the exhaust filter. Like most players who are getting an opportunity to shine, Cespedes is not wasting any time taking advantage of the perks.
The Mets are playing along on Twitter for now, but are most likely being cautious, which they should be. Nobody wants to see the strong outfielder getting hurt, especially when the Mets are one of the favorites to make it into the World Series this year. Flashbacks of Duaner Sanchez may come into many minds. While Sanchez wasn’t driving when he was in a taxi accident in 2006, his career was never the same again.
Cespedes seems to be having the time of his life, which can loosen up the Mets clubhouse. As long as he is safe, the Cesmobile will be a huge hit during the rest of spring training.
