What are you going to do with Brandon Knight?

Brandon Knight is currently sitting out with a bum groin and has missed quite a few games. He has missed the last 14 to be exact and the Suns are sure missing him too thus forcing several younger players into action. There are beginning to be some rumbles about a potential return to basketball for Knight and that makes it just a little past prime time to act if you are wanting to do something to acquire Knight’s services.

I think that once he comes back and proves he is healthy he is going to be racking up all the minutes that he can handle. His averages have him at 19.7 points, 5.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds a game all an around 36 minutes per game. Knight is  a great talent and will be the main man in the back-court upon his return.

The Suns have a long-term commitment on Knight and I think that they will want to see how Knight can hold up with out Bledsoe on the court with him, but there is always a chance that Knight could get shut down for the season also.

More from Fantasy

I would not want to cut Knight, but I suppose there are worse things that you could do. I would hold on at least for a few more days because I think cutting him would be a move that you would regret.

Knight is a player that I would love to own in a keeper or dynasty league. If you own a team that is out of contention then he could make for a prime trade candidate as you could probably have him for a nice bargain. Be careful not to make an insulting trade offer as that can certainly have an adverse affect on your ability to trade and do business in your fantasy league, but do your due diligence to see what kind of bargain that Knight can be had for.

On the flip side if you own Knight in a keeper league I think that I would be bullish on letting him go as I think his value should hold steady for the next few seasons and I think he can help you win your league this year as long as he does not get shut down.

In other words if I own Knight in a fantasy league I am holding tight and if I can I would make a deal to trade for him in a keeper or dynasty league.
