No. 1 Villanova Wildcats vs No. 5 Xavier Musketeers
Villanova absolutely dismantled Xavier in the last meeting between these two teams, winning by 31 at home. However, plenty of time has passed since then and this might be the most important Big East game of the season with first place on the line for both teams. Villanova will be hoping to defend the No. 1 ranking on the road.

The Wildcats wouldn’t be No. 1 in the nation if it wasn’t for 16 wins in the past 17 games after an 8-2 start to the year. Josh Hart has been a huge part of that success, averaging a team-high 15.0 points to go along with 7.6 rebounds per game. Daniel Ochefu has been rock-solid since coming back from injury, averaging 14.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in the past four games.
Xavier has won eight of nine games and the Musketeers will be looking to avenge their first loss of the season to the Wildcats. Losing by 31 was a tough defeat to get over, but Xavier is talented enough to overcome such a crushing blow and maybe even put the same type of beatdown on the Wildcats at the Cintas Center.
Trevon Bluiett has been one of the best players in the conference this season and his 15.3 points lead the team, as does his 38 percent three-point shooting — minimum 30 attempts. Myles Davis can also knock down the three, 36 percent, but a real name to look out for is James Farr who averages 10.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
