Many expected the Washington Wizards to ease their way into playoff contention this season, but so far that hasn’t been the case. Washington is 3.5 games out of eighth place in the Eastern Conference and consistency has been an issue. In fact, they beat a solid Pistons team by 12 right after the break and lost to Miami by 20 the very next game.

Despite the mediocre record on the season, the Wizards still have one of the best point guards in the NBA: John Wall. The sixth-year player out of Kentucky leads the team in scoring, 19.9 points, while dishing 9.8 assists and swiping 2.0 passes per game. Bradley Beal is close behind, averaging 18.5 points and shooting 39 percent from long-range.

After a hot start to the season, the Bulls have cooled off over the past couple of weeks. Chicago has lost 14 of its last 21 games and it’s due to the fact that the Bulls have been playing mediocre defense, at best. In fact, 17 of those 21 games have seen opponents score at least 100 points on the Bulls, including 10 straight.

Losing Jimmy Butler for an extended period of time was the major blow for the Bulls and a large reason as to why they’ve struggled recently. Pau Gasol is the current active leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 17.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Derrick Rose is looking more sound by the game, putting up 16.5 points and 4.8 assists per contest.
