High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,900): Harden is tied with Russell Westbrook for being the most expensive player available tonight, but its easy to see why when you look at his recent production.  Harden has at least 53 fantasy points in four straight games and dropped 42 points on Utah in 44 minutes on Tuesday while adding five rebounds and four assists. He ripped tonight’s opponent, the Blazers, for 34 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds when the two teams met just before the break finishing that game with 57.3 fantasy points. Harden takes a ton of shots and will turn the ball over some, but his final lines have been so good lately that he’s a big-name star you have to consider if you don’t stack Curry-Westbrook at PG.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (7,500): Middleton had 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists the last time the Bucks played the Celtics giving him 30.5 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in five straight games since then and has continued to be a key player for the Bucks as he thrives alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.  Middleton plays huge minutes for Milwaukee and in what should be a high-scoring game tonight, I like him to post good numbers despite Boston’s usually-solid backcourt defense.

Klay Thompson-Golden State Warriors (7,200): Thompson has been on fire since the Warriors letdown against the Blazers after the break.  He has scored 32, 27, and 32 in the three games since that loss and has posted 50.9, 38.9, and 43.6 fantasy points during that run. Tonight, I expect there to be plenty of points being scored in an up-and-down game in Orlando which is when Thompson usually gets his best non-scoring stats. It’s also worth noticing that Klay has at least three steals in four of his last five games which is just gravy when his shot is also dropping like it has been.

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (6,900): Oladipo has played over 40 minute sin each of his last four games and is getting an incredible amount of playing time for someone who was benched earlier this season.  In his three games since the break, Oladipo has been doing it all with at least 35 fantasy points in each game and nicely balanced production in almost every counting category. He had some of his best games of the year against the Spurs, and he tends to rise to the occasion for big games.  As a result, I think there’s plenty of upside to like as the Magic try to finish what Miami came close to doing last night–knocking off the Champs.
