As spring training gets going and the new Major League Baseball season gets closer and closer to its beginning, it is hard to go too long without hearing the name of the Chicago Cubs.

Fresh off of a season where they were the most improved team in the game, as a result of an exciting young core making an undeniable impact and a winter where they continued to be the headline talent compilers in the game, the Windy City’s north side inhabitants are entering the season in a unfamiliar position: as favorites.
