It’s time to play, “What car will Yoenis Cespedes show up to Mets camp with this time?”
Since Spring Training started, all people are talking about are the New York Mets. While they are favorites to win the NL East, that is not what the media is talking about in regards to the team. They are talking about the many cars that Yoenis Cespedes brings into the spring training parking lot.
On Monday, Cespedes drove a $60,000 Ford F-250. On Tuesday he cruised around in a $61,000 Polaris Slingshot, AKA The Cesmobile. Yesterday he managed to bring a $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador into the lot, and that one shot flames from the exhaust. Those prices also include the customization’s he adds into the cars.
One thing is for sure: Yo knows a thing or two about cars. He also knows about spending money, using every opportunity he can get after earning a three-year, $75 million contract with the team. Cespedes added on to his collection this morning, even if it was a quieter unveiling than usual.
Cespedes had to arrive early today for a physical, so I guess he had to get here fast. This is an Alfa Romeo. #Mets pic.twitter.com/G8L6wYBArI

While it doesn’t appear the Alfa Romeo has features like spitting fire, it is still a very nice car. According to Newsday, the car is worth about $250,000. Neswday also did the math for us, and estimated that Cespedes has driven about $850,000 worth of cars to spring training so far. Cespedes is not a greedy man though. You can drive his car as long as that person finds him round waffles (he doesn’t like square ones for some reason).
The Cespedes Car Show has been one of the highlights of spring training so far. Let’s just hope Cespedes tones it down. He doesn’t need to spend his money all at once. At this rate, he may need to take the bus to Spring Training. Knowing him, he’ll try to include a pool into it.
