Grayson Allen tripped a Florida State player on Thursday and the ACC slapped him on the wrist.

Thursday night most of the college basketball world got the chance to throw more hate onto someone who has become one of the most vilified players in the country, Duke’s Grayson Allen. At the end of the Blue Devils’ win on Thursday, Allen tripped Florida State’s Xavier Rathan-Mayes as he was trying to make his way down the court.

If you missed the incident, here you go:

This incident marked the second time in two weeks Allen intentionally tripped an opposing player on the floor, and the ACC said they would investigate.

Well, they have concluded that investigation and they’ve issued a reprimand to Allen, and there will be no other punishment beyond that.

So yes, basically Allen just got a slap on the wrist, which is not something that’s going to sit well with the Duke haters out there in the country. With this being the second such incident in a two-week span, some may have expected a little harsher punishment, but that’s not coming.

Still, while you can watch the video and make a pretty good assumption that the trip was intentional, it would have been a lengthy process for the conference to definitively prove that it was on purpose.

With this out of the way, though, Allen had better stop these antics on the court, or the next punishment that’s handed down won’t be so lenient.
