Andrew Bogut trolls Stephen Jackson’s comments, other Warriors respond
By Josh Wilson
The Golden State Warriors players are having fun on and off the court this season. They had fun with a critic of theirs, a former Golden State Warrior himself, Stephen Jackson, on Twitter.
There’s typically no argument from anyone in the basketball world that the Golden State Warriors from this season are one of the best NBA teams to play in the past decade or so, and probably even more than that. They are on pace to have the best season in NBA history by win-loss record, but that’s not convincing former Warrior himself Stephen Jackson, who said the team he played for could have beaten the Warriors of this season.
That Warriors team was good, and was the first Warriors team to appear in the playoffs in a long, long time — but they weren’t Stephen Curry good.
And how would we expect the Warriors players to respond? With some jokes on Twitter, of course. First up was Andrew Bogut, who would be one of the last Warriors I would expect to jump in on this action, saying that — similar to Jackson’s claim — a team that he used to play for (his under-14 team in Australia) could beat the Warriors today.
Stephen Curry said he wanted the fair one with “Fat Jimmy” who was one of Bogut’s teammates.
And then to top it all off, Draymond Green called out a huge crowd of critics that the Warriors have been dealing with lately — the moving screens crowd. The latest “reason” for the Warriors big success, according to some, has been that Curry has been able to get open because the Warriors set moving screens — which are illegal — for him during games.
While the moving screens allegation may be true some of the time, you don’t go 50-5 through your first 55 games off of moving screens. This Warriors team is good, really good. Sorry Stephen Jackson, but they would have beaten even your Warriors team.
