Broncos CB Chris Harris trolls ‘slow’ wide receivers at NFL Combine
By Josh Hill
Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris trolled the slow wide receiver class at the NFL Combine.
The Denver Broncos are Super Bowl champs, and their defense is almost exclusively to thank for that. While Von Miller was the MVP stud of the unit, there were other stars on defense that derisive credit. Cornerback Chris Harris is among those players, and his new Super Bowl hardware is giving him a new confidence in his profession.
We saw this in Harris taking to Twitter to troll rookies at the NFL combine this weekend — specifically players he might be matching up against next season.
Harris laughed off the slow 40-times at the combine by trolling the incoming rookie class on Twitter.
While a little cocky, Harris isn’t wrong; this is one of the slowest receiver classes we’ve ever seen. No one stands out at all who isn’t supposed to and the slow receivers are slow. Even top guys like Braxton Miller, Sterling Shepard and Josh Doctson didn’t post blazing speeds.
That’s not the worst thing, as route running and having a sense of timing in the slot is something that receivers like this class contains need to have. Speed is everything in the NFL, but this class might have to counter their lack of blustering speed with smart route running at the next level.
