After one young fan invited New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis to prom, Porzinigis politely declined her invitation.
Kristaps Porzingis might just be one of the most popular men in New York City at the moment. The New York Knicks’ rookie has been astounding in his rookie campaign for the team and he has people believing in basketball again in the city.
Not only is his play sweeping the fan base, but he’s also melting young girls’ hearts. One Knicks fan, Sam Miller, made a big sign and went all out to get Porzingis to try and go to the prom with her.

Her sign was even seen during one of the broadcasts of a Knicks game.

If getting her wishes noticed on television wasn’t enough, Miller was able to meet the dad of Porzingis.

Ever since then, the campaign to get Porzingis to take the young fan to prom has set social media ablaze. Porzingis was able finally to respond to Miller, but he had to politely decline her invitation to prom.
Porzingis will be out of the country at the time and will not be able to attend. The ascension of Porzingis has already been unreal this season. He’s playing out of his mind on the court with big plays and he’s breaking young girls’ hearts.
Porzingis has certainly become the next big thing in New York.
