Previous: . Los Angeles Lakers. 3. team. 20. <p>Yes, the Lakers have lost eight straight games, and there isn’t a lot to be excited about. To be fair, though, Los Angeles was largely competitive during the stretch, with seven of the eight losses coming against playoff-bound squads.</p> <p>We are nitpicking for reasons to be positive about the Lakers, simply because they are pretty wretched on both ends of the floor. The defense has been deplorable for the most part, and while the offense has been “better”, there isn’t a lot to like there either.</p> <p>Playing improved basketball doesn’t mean a great deal when it is still bad basketball, and that is where we find the Lakers.</p>.
