Russell Westbrook left Draymond Green in the dust when he side-stepped him in the second quarter of their matchup on Saturday.

Where would the Oklahoma City Thunder be without Russell Westbrook? They would definitely be losing to the Golden State Warriors after the first half, that’s for sure. Luckily for them, Westbrook showed up to play on Saturday night, and led the Thunder into the locker room with an 11 point lead at halftime.

Westbrook was going shot-for-shot With Stephen Curry in the first half. Although Westbrook doesn’t have the range that Curry does, he certainly has some good moves. With just about a minute remaining in the first half, Westbrook took charge yet again, taking a quick step into the key, and then another very quick side-step to the right. This move left Draymond Green frozen in his tracks and had other Warriors players struggling to make up where Draymond lost. Westbrook easily put the ball it in.

The first half ended with Curry and Westbrook — not surprisingly — being tied at 14 points a piece. They dueled hard in the first half, and the second half should be no different in this game. The Thunder have what would be a comfortable lead coming into the third quarter against any other team, but with the Warriors, nothing is safe.
