A look at the field for the 2016 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament as well as a printable bracket.
The month of February is quickly leaving our lives, which for a lot of people is not a bad thing. It’s not a bad thing because that means it’s time for March Madness, which also includes the women’s tournaments. Of course, one of the conference tournaments that everyone looks forward to when it comes to the women is the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament.
ACC basketball is like a religion and that reaches out to the women as well. This season, there is a familiar face on the top of the mountain before the tournament starts.
Yes, once again the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be holding the top overall seed in the field, which really doesn’t surprise anyone. They’re most certainly the favorite to come away with the postseason crown, but they’ll have some other talented teams gunning for them such as Louisville and Syracuse. These two would love for nothing more than to bring Notre Dame back down to earth by knocking them out.
Then, you have the Cinderella teams that of course are searching for that automatic bid, and we know how much we love upsets in March.
