Cleveland Cavaliers vs Washington Wizards

The Cleveland Cavaliers have hit a minor rough patch in the past few games, losing at home to the reeling Detroit Pistons and then blowing a late nine-point lead against the Toronto Raptors and losing on a dagger by Kyle Lowry with three seconds left. This team needs to get back in the right direction and extend its 2.0-game lead in the Eastern Conference.

LeBron James is obviously the one guy you think of when you hear about the Cavaliers. The former MVP is averaging 24.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game, making sure Cleveland remains the East’s top team. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are also big pieces of the puzzle, ranking second and third on the team in scoring, respectively.

After putting together a solid campaign just one season ago, the expectations were high for the up-and-coming Washington Wizards. However, to this point in the year, they have been a bit disappointing, sitting in just 10th place in the Eastern Conference with a 27-30 overall record. Washington needs to win games like this if it wants to make a run at the playoffs.

John Wall is the star of the Wizards at point guard and until he’s no longer on the team, that won’t change. He’s putting up a team-high 19.8 points, 9.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Bradley Beal is the perfect complementary shooting guard, averaging 18 points and earning the distinction of three-point specialist.
