Otto Porter destroys Kevin Love with block (Video)

Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter destroyed Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love with a monster block.

There was a big Eastern Conference matinee in the NBA on Sunday afternoon, as the Cleveland Cavaliers hit the road against the Washington Wizards without LeBron James. The Wizards set the tone physically early and Otto Porter was the one that really set it defensively.

As Cavaliers forward Kevin Love grabbed an offensive rebound and tried to put back a shot attempt, Porter went up and viciously blocked Love’s shot to the ground. He destroyed Love’s shot so bad, that Love crashed to the floor hard as Porter stood tall over him like a predator standing over its prey.

That’s a grown man block right there. Love has done this to plenty of others in his career, but to be on the receiving end is something new for him. The Wizards have been waiting for Porter to take that aggressive step forward in his career and setting a physical tone like this only makes the rest of his teammates fall in line alongside him.

Just look at that block. Even Marcin Gortat had to take a second to appreciate his teammate’s ability to destroy another man’s dreams.
