As the 2015-16 women’s college basketball season comes to a close, it’s time to remember that these talented ladies are all a part of March Madness as well. One of the tournaments that everyone will be keeping an eye on will be the 2016 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Jacksonville this week.
Of course, the team to beat in the field this year is once again the South Carolina Gamecocks. Once again they were the cream of the crop in the conference and they would love for nothing more than to get into the NCAA Women’s Tournament and get themselves another crack at the team that everyone wants, the UConn Huskies. They had their chance a few weeks ago and it didn’t work out so well for them, so you know they’re chomping at the bit.
But before they can even begin to think about any of that, they must first claim the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament title, with the festivities getting kicked off on Wednesday.
