A look at when does the 2016 NCAA Tournament and March Madness officially starts
There’s no better time in college basketball and arguably in all of sports than March Madness. The narratives, the excitement, the performances, and just everything about the NCAA Tournament is just incomparable in the world of sports. Though the field has yet to be set, it’s safe to say that the 2016 NCAA Tournament won’t disappoint.
One of the best things about the 2015-16 college basketball season has been the parity throughout the sport. The No. 1-ranked team in the country has been knocked off what feels like an abnormally high number of times during the season, which only goes to show that the 2016 NCAA Tournament and the national championship is truly up for grabs. That only makes the anticipation that much higher.
Of course, this all begs the question of when the 2016 NCAA Tournament will actually get underway. The answer to that question really depends on how you look at it.
With the field of 68 college basketball teams, the First Four that features the play-in games will take place on March 15 and 16 from UD Arena in Dayton, OH. For fans who are wondering when the fast and furious action of the entire field starting to play begins, though, the first round will take place on March 17 and 18 at eight various sites from around the country.
