Celtics’ Isaiah Thomas makes an alley-oop layup (Video)

5-foot-9 point guard Isaiah Thomas went up and finished off an alley-oop layup against the Utah Jazz.

Not everyone in life is blessed with the height to be able to dunk a basketball. Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas is not one of those that is physically tall enough to throw down highlight slams. However, he still can make remarkable layups.

Against the Utah Jazz on Monday night, Thomas had a remarkable play at the hoop that brought the fans in attendance to their feet. As Celtics guard Marcus Smart had nowhere to go with the basketball, Thomas cut to the hoop and finished off the lop with a reverse that just made it in.

Thomas would crash to the floor and would be immediately picked up by his teammates. It’s not every day that those are challenged in height can make an incredible play at the rim, but give credit to Thomas for making the layup.

If there was a layup contest at All-Star Saturday Night, Thomas certainly would have to be one of the contestants. It’s also hard to blame the Jazz in this scenario as well. It’s not like they figured that Thomas would be the recipient of an alley-oop attempt.
