LeBron James just gives up chasing down Paul George (Video)

LeBron James pretty much just didn’t feel like playing defense on Paul George on this play.

As if there wasn’t already enough controversy surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers, this play won’t really help matters all that much in getting some people on their side.

The Cavaliers are taking on the Indiana Pacers Monday night, and early on in the third quarter, Kyrie Irving tried to get the ball into LeBron James, but it was stolen away by another star in the league, Paul George. From there, George was sprinting all the way to the other end of the court where everyone was set for LeBron to put his foot on the gas pedal and try to get the chase down block.

Yeah, well, that didn’t happen. What happened was Lebron just more or less gave up on the play altogether and George got the easy bucket.

That is simply not a good look for a team that has a lot of questions to answer at this point in the season. They’re just not playing together all that well, and Monday morning there was a report that Irving is unhappy being in Cleveland.

This is just one play, yes, but it’s a play that maybe sums up the state of the team right now perfectly.
