A look at the 2016 AAC Women’s Tournament bracket that will get rolling in the coming days

There’s no better time in women’s college basketball than when March rolls around and the NCAA Tournament begins. Before the 2016 tournament can happen, though, the automatic bids to the dance have to be determined through conference tournament. As per usual given the strength at the top of the conference, all eyes are going to be on the 2016 AAC Women’s Tournament.

The lower seeds in the AAC Women’s Tournament will tip off the action on Friday, March 4 as the No. 6 Tulsa Golden Hurricane, No. 7 SMU Mustangs, No. 8 East Carolina Lady Pirate, No. 9 Cincinnati Bearcats, No. 10 UCF Knights, and No. 11 Houston Cougars will all take the floor to start the tourney.

However, it’s no secret that everyone in the conference and in all of women’s college hoops are chasing the undefeated UConn Huskies. If anyone has a chance of knocking them out of the AAC Women’s Tournament, you have to believe it’s the No. 2 South Florida Bulls, but even then knocking UConn off seems like a long shot.

Let’s take a look at the bracket now to see what the field looks like. For a printable version of the bracket, simply click on the picture and you’ll be set.
