A look at the 2016 Big East Women’s Tournament bracket that will tip off in the coming days

The 2016 Women’s NCAA Tournament is just a couple of weeks away and the women’s college basketball action is going to get fast and furious. Before they chase for a national title gets underway, though, the automatic bids will have to be determined through the conference tournaments, one of which that women’s college hoops fans have to keep an eye on is the 2016 Big East Women’s Tournament.

The Big East Women’s Tournament will get underway on Saturday, March 5 with the No. 7-10 seeds facing off. The No. 10 Providence Friars will square off with the No. 7 Creighton Blue Jays while the No. 9 Butler Bulldogs also face the No. 8 Xavier Musketeers.

On Sunday, March 6 the winners of those two games will take on the top-six seed coming out of the Big East from the regular season. The conference has been led by the DePaul Blue Demons all season, but the Seton Hall Pirates, Villanova Wildcats, and St. Johns Red Storm could all usurp the Blue Demons on the right night in the Big East Women’s Tournament.
