Clippers fan hits halfcourt shot in front of Beyonce, Condor mascot (Video)

A fan won a Jeep in front of Beyonce and new Clippers mascot Chuck the Condor by hitting a halfcourt shot

The Los Angeles Clippers have a tendency to put on a show whenever they take the floor with Chris Paul throwing lobs to DeAndre Jordan (and Blake Griffin when he’s not breaking his hand in stupid incidents off the court). However, it was an even wilder night on Monday inside STAPLES Center than normal that only got more and more surreal.

For starters, the ineffable Beyonce was in attendance for Monday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, the same game that the Clippers debuted their new mascot: Chuck the Condor. Amidst all this excitement and general tomfoolery, though, a fan was asked to rise above it all to knock down a halfcourt shot in order to win a Jeep and pair of Chuck Taylors (courtesy of the Condor, of course). Somehow, he faced all that pressure and knocked down the shot:

Think about the scenario that just played out. This fan is shooting a halfcourt shot to win a brand new Jeep in front of a furry condor named Chuck wearing a knight’s helmet and Clippers gear while the biggest musical artist on the planet is sitting courtside. How this dude didn’t just determine that he was in the middle of a fever dream rather than knocking down that shot is beyond all comprehension.
