player. 53.
The Browns need a quarterback and that isn’t a secret to anyone who has followed the NFL in the recent past. With Tennessee sporting a very solid quarterback situation, Cleveland is, at least currently, in the driver’s seat to tab their signal-caller of the future with the second overall pick.

Right now, all indications are that Carson Wentz is that player.

It is largely seen as a two-man race between Wentz and California QB Jared Goff for this draft slot, and it is hard to describe just how fast Wentz has risen up draft boards across the country. At 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds, he has the physical stature that NFL teams crave, and his arm talent is in question. Goff may have more raw ability, but in terms of frame, Wentz gets the nod and he reportedly tested off the charts in various team interviewing during the combine.

Cleveland’s mindset is a secret at this point, meaning that we are freely speculating here. Still, quarterback is the only move that makes sense at this spot, and Wentz looks like a future stud. It should be noted that some trade weirdness (with Tennessee moving down) could derail the Browns but, as always, we aren’t projecting trades here.
. QB. North Dakota State. Carson Wentz. 2
