The Tennessee Titans have come to terms with cornerback Brice McCain.
While National Football League free agency won’t start until March 9, the Titans were able to pick up a cornerback on Wednesday with the signing of Brice McCain. Terms have not been disclosed, but Tennessee picked up McCain early, thanks to the Miami Dolphins releasing the 29-year-old.

For McCain, Tennessee will be his fourth team in as many seasons. The seven-year veteran was originally drafted out of the University of Utah by the Houston Texans and spent his first five seasons there before becoming a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014. McCain then played one year with the Dolphins in 2015 before being cut.
For his career, McCain has nine interceptions and is better suited to be a backup. The Titans will likely be looking for McCain to play in the slot with Perrish Cox and Jason McCourty starting on the outside. Tennessee has a bad defensive backfield, something that the front office is clearly hoping to upgrade.
McCain will be the first of many additions for the Titans in the coming weeks. Tennessee is flush with cap space, currently sitting at $49.5 million.
