Damian Lillard drains half court shot (Video)

Damian Lillard is tired of hearing about how well Steph Curry can drain from outside of 30 feet, so he decided to get in on the action.

Everyone is talking about how insane Steph Curry is playing recently. Curry’s last four games, not including missing Tuesday’s game against the Hawks, he has scored 36, 42, 51 and 46. Curry, rightfully so, has virtually already been handed the MVP and is changing the game every night he plays.

However, Damian Lillard is not having a bad stretch either, one of the best of the NBA season and one of the best of his career. Lillard scored 30 or more points seven times in February and put up 51 against the defending world champions, Golden State. Not only is Lillard putting up big numbers, but it seems he is out to prove that Curry isn’t the only player who can pull up from anywhere past the half line and drain.

Even though this shot didn’t count, Lillard still hit almost nothing but net from at least 35 feet. Lillard has had at least 20 points in each of his last twelve games, including 20 tonight in a loss against the Celtics.

Despite Curry having the MVP on lockdown already, many are talking about who the second best player in the league. Although Lillard was overlooked in the All-Star game, he is making a case for one of the best players in the league in the second half of the season. Lillard has led the Portland Trailblazers to nine wins in their last 11 and a current seven seed in the Western Conference playoff picture.
