1. Let the young guys roll

While things haven’t been as fun to watch this season in Chicago, the team has had some silver linings to their struggles on the year. Their young guys have begun getting minutes on the floor and they have also began to produce a little bit. Two of those young players producing are Doug McDermott and Bobby Portis.

McDermott has been showing off his ability to throw down dunks, as well as his ability to shoot. With Portis being a rookie big man, he’s gotten the chance to show off a little bit of what he can do with the injuries that have happened in the front court for the Bulls.

Needless to say, this has been huge for both of these guys, as they continue to gain experience as players in the league. If they can continue to get good minutes on the floor while helping the Bulls make a playoff push, it could go a long way toward helping the Bulls make the playoffs.

There’s no better time than now for these guys to blossom and with key players set to return soon for the Bulls, that could lead to the Bulls suddenly having better depth than they thought they had before all of the injuries took place on the roster.

It’s all about finding those silver linings in a down year.
