The San Antonio Spurs clinched a playoff berth on Wednesday, but what does the rest of the NBA Playoffs Bracket look like?
We still have a month left in the NBA regular season, but the playoff picture is starting to take shape from the top down. There is still a ton of space at the bottom of the Eastern Conference for teams to make moves. The Chicago Bulls missed a chance to hang in by losing to the Orlando Magic.
Luckily for Chicago, the Pistons — who own the No. 8 seed in the East at the moment — played the Spurs and basically stood no chance of winning. Still, this was a shot for the Bulls to make up ground but instead they continued their season-long trend of being wildly mediocre and inconsistent.
Speaking of the Spurs, they clinched a playoff berth — but that’s not too surprising. the teams at the top of both conferences are in no danger of dropping out, not even in the competitive West.

The Warriors are still the team to beat in the West though, and the Spurs are better off dreaming about catching them than actually doing so. It’s not impossible, as only 4-games separate the two teams — but never before has four games seemed so insurmountable.
While there wasn’t a ton of shifting in the playoff bracket on Wednesday night, things still happened that continue to solidify the playoff picture.
The NBA playoffs start on April 16th.
