Last night the NBA featured the top three teams out West as the Thunder, Warriors, and Spurs brought their star-power to a big Thursday night double-header.  Tonight those three teams are all off but there are still 20 teams full of fantasy basketball options taking the floor.  The focus tonight is on the Eastern Conference battles as familiar foes face off throughout the evening.  To see who I think are the best of the many mid-range options tonight, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides.

More from Brooklyn Nets

There are ten games in all on the schedule tonight, and three of them tip off at 7:00 PM ET.  Miami finishes their back-to-back with a trip to Philly, Phoenix finishes their two-game Florida trip in Orlando, and the Hornets host the Pacers in matchup of the sixth and seventh seeds in the Eastern Conference. At 7:30, two more games tip off as the Celtics host Carmelo and the Knicks while Kyle Lowry and Damian Lillard lead their teams into a game in Toronto. At 8:00, three more games get underway including a nice matchup in the early game on ESPN between the Cavs and Wizards who could be first round opponents. At the same time, the Bucks take on the T-Wolves and the Grizzlies host the Jazz in the only all-Western Conference game of the night.  In the last two games of the night, the Nets visit the Nuggets at 9:00, and we wrap up the evening with the Lakers and Hawks from LA at 10:30.

With those 20 teams in action tonight, there are definitely some matchups you want to attack and matchups you want to avoid.  To see the players I think are the best options for tonight, check out my DraftKings daily picks on the following slides. My goal is to give you the information you need to build your own lineup that can bring home a win for your team tonight. To help you realize that goal, you’ll find two slides per position in this post–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each slide contains at least two selections with extras thrown in where possible.  I base each pick on the current form of each player and the positional matchups each player will face in tonight’s game.

At the beginning of 2016, I  started to rank my picks using stars after each selection to show the strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). On the final slide of the post, you can see my recent results at each level of confidence. Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my lineup for tonight’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to see my lineups and use them as a place to get started.
