Earlier this week Carmelo Anthony found himself embarrassed by the rims at Madison Square Garden after a post whistle dunk attempt went wrong. Anthony caught the front of the rim with his dunk attempt and was soon laying back first on the Garden floor trying to laugh off his failure. On Saturday night the MSG rim claimed another victim as Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond also met the front of the rim with a dunk attempt gone bad.

Considering that there was a whistle blown for a foul on this play, things are a bit less embarrassing for Drummond than they were for Anthony but this still isn’t great. Considering the size and athletic ability that Drummond possesses, it is hard to really imagine him missing dunks because he came up short, so seeing him do so is startling.
Of course the best part of the whole sequence is Anthony in the background trying to hold in a smile after the play. Of all the people at MSG on Saturday, he knew best just how embarrassed Drummond could be.
