The month of March has finally arrived, which means that it’s time for the best part of the college basketball season. Of course, before we ever get to the NCAA Tournament, first we must get through the conference tournaments. One of the tournaments that a lot of people genuinely look forward to is the annual Big East Tournament.
While the conference isn’t all what it used to be after some teams left the fold, it’s still one of the more exciting basketball conferences in the country, and the tournament this year should be all kinds of fun to watch.
Coming in as the No. 1 seed this season is of course the Villanova Wildcats, who have enjoyed themselves another impressive season. They held the No. 1 spot in the national rankings for some time, proving themselves to once again be contenders within the national landscape.
However, there are other teams in this field that are more than capable of coming away with the Big East title such as Providence, Xavier and Seton Hall.
