Jamal Murray sinks a three-pointer for the Kentucky Wildcats and then proceeds to shoot an imaginary arrow at teammate E.J. Floreal on the Kentucky bench.

Jamal Murray is having a fantastic freshman season with the Kentucky Wildcats in the SEC, as Kentucky is starting to catch fire in conference play before potentially another deep run in the NCAA Tournament this spring.

Murray has developed somewhat of his signature celebration when he nails a tough shot from the outside. In Kentucky’s rout Saturday afternoon against Ben Simmons and the LSU Tigers at Rupp Arena in Downtown Lexington, Murray drained another three and took his imaginary bow and arrow towards the Kentucky and shot at teammate E.J. Floreal. RIP E.J. Floreal.

This game between SEC teams had several interesting developments, with most of which stemming from LSU’s decision to not make their best player true freshman forward Ben Simmons eligible to win the Wooden Award this spring.

Big Blue Nation let LSU have it, chanting “G-P-A…G-P-A…” at the certain one-and-done freshman that didn’t get a 2.0 in his first semester of classes at LSU. Kentucky is rounding into forming, routing LSU at Rupp Arena.

Murray’s shot to the heart of fellow freshman Floreal maybe the funniest spin on friendly fire to date, but really it symbolized the dagger in the hearts of LSU’s slim hopes to beat Kentucky at Rupp Arena and even sniff at a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky is a perennial staple in March Madness and should make some noise come tournament time under head coach John Calipari. On the other hand, LSU will have to win the SEC Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville next weekend to even have a shot at making it to the Big Dance in 2016. Kentucky is clicking at the right time and it looks like they have are having a blast doing it!
