Iowa State’s Monte Morris drains buzzer beater before half vs Kansas (Video)

Iowa State went into the half in a pretty comfortable position against Kansas thanks to Monte Morris.
As the college basketball regular season comes to a close this weekend, we’re getting some huge match ups from some of the best conferences in the game. One of the games that we’re treated to on Saturday is from the Big 12, as Iowa State is on the road trying to get that elusive win in the Phog against the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks.
Well, we’re only through one half of basketball in this one, but the Cyclones are not backing down without a fight, and Monte Morris especially isn’t.
Kansas controlled a lot of the first half, but the Cyclones fought back. They ended the half on the best note possible, with Monte Morris draining this three to beat the buzzer, cutting the deficit to one.
Now that’s how you wanna end the first half if you’re Iowa State. Especially being on the road in front of one of the most hostile environments in all of college basketball, momentum is everything. Heading into the locker room after a shot like this is exactly what this team needed to continue rolling in the second half.
We’ll just have to see if that actually happens now.
