Prince had a concert inside Oracle Arena on Friday night so of course he shouted out Stephen Curry

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is receiving a lot of praise as of late, and really, rightfully so. There has not been a player in the NBA this electric and this absurd in quite some time, so absolutely he’s drawing attention from a variety of people. But when it comes to shout outs, some hold a little more weight than others.

You know, like when someone the stature of Prince gives you some props, then that’s pretty much the best compliment you can get in the world, to be honest.

Friday night Prince actually held a concert inside Oracle Arena, and during one of the songs that he was performing, he dropped in a little line about Curry taking  his place in history.

It doesn’t matter how famous you are and how much your star is on the rise, when Prince takes the time to give you some props and attention, that has to just leave you in awe.

Prince being in attendance on Thursday for the Warriors’ win over the Oklahoma City Thunder probably pushed him to do this as well.
