Joseph Randle arrested for the sixth time in 18 months

Joseph Randle was arrested for the sixth time in a year and a half

Joseph Randle has been arrested yet again, this time for failing to appear in court to face charges on one of his previous five arrests, all of which took place within the last 18 months. It’s a sad fall from grace for a young man who was poised for a breakout NFL season, but has instead found himself unemployed and now pretty much untouchable.

The running back was handed the keys to the Dallas Cowboys high powered running game as the 2015 season started despite his arrest the previous season for stealing underwear and cologne from a department store.  The team stood by him through his continued legal troubles, but warned him that he needed to get his issues under control.

Controlling himself proved to be an issue as the team released him in advance of the NFL suspending the former fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma State. The arrests have including charges of waiving a gun at an ex-girlfriend, fighting a casino security guard while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

Randle was booked after 1 a.m. Sunday morning and is currently being held on a $150,000 bond in Sedgwick County, Kansas. Chances of his NFL career ever resuming now seem to be non-existent.
