Kobalt 400 2016: Starting grid, lineup

Here is the complete starting grid and lineup for the 2016 Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Opportunity awaits one lucky driver in Las Vegas on Sunday, for the Kobalt 400. After two spots in the Chase have already been locked up by Denny Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson, another driver has a chance to claim the third spot in the Chase to date.

The 1.5-mile track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a favorite track of many drivers and despite not being the size of a superspeedway, the Kobalt 400 certainly runs like one. For the second week in a row, Kurt Busch will be on the pole when the race begins.

Busch had an incredibly fast car and he understands the ins and outs of Las Vegas. Contending with him will be defending Las Vegas winner, Kevin Harvick. Harvick has had his chances to win a race in the first two weeks and he will once again be looking to pick up his first win of the season at the Kobalt 400.

No driver has won Las Vegas more times than Johnson and the No. 48 could look to play the role of the spoiler and delay a new driver entering the Chase by at least a week with another win at the track. With an exciting day on tap, here’s the starting grid and lineup for Sunday’s Kobalt 400.
