The Lakers stunned the Warriors on Sunday afternoon and Magic Johnson was loving it

Sunday afternoon everyone was expecting the Los Angeles Lakers to get slaughtered at home by the Golden State Warriors, who came into the game with a 55-5 record. But when the smoke cleared and the game came to a close, we all just sort of sat here stunned with our jaws on the floor. That’s because the Lakers not only won the game, but they won it in pretty convincing fashion, 112-95.

It was one of the legit biggest surprises that we have seen in the NBA thus far this season, as the Lakers have had one of the most miserable seasons in NBA history to this point. But the Lakers and their fans were anything but miserable on Sunday, as they have every right to celebrate this.

After the game was over, maybe the biggest legend in Lakers history, Magic Johnson, had some thoughts.

First he pointed out the defense the team played, as the Warriors were limited to just 4-for-30 from three-point range.

Then he reminded everyone of the bright future this team with the young core.

Next, he shouted out the unsung heroes — the bench players.

And finally, the fans in the Staples Center got some props too.

Then he went right back to talking about the progression of the young ones.

So, yeah, Magic seems pretty pumped, eh?
