NBA coaches have tough jobs. Before games they must find ways to keep players happy, come up with a good game plan and put it in without much practice time. During games they have to make adjustments on the fly and figure out how to handle their rotation based on the way the game is going while also making sure they do nothing to upset important players. Occasionally, they even need to play defense, as Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone found out on Sunday night.

Honestly, this should probably be some sort of violation, even if by the rules it isn’t. Malone clearly is way too close to Chandler Parsons to not impact the play in some manner and at one point it almost looks like he bumps into him. But who cares, this was really funny to watch.
The Mavericks turnover ended up being huge, as Denver went on to tie the game and send it to overtime after the steal, meaning Mike Malone instantly shot up to the top three on most the list of most impactful defenders on the Nuggets roster.
