Sir Alex Ferguson’s famous facial expressions have upped their game, as he scowls on throughout United’s loss to West Brom.
They say a picture paints a thousand words. Well, if that’s true then a face tells a million, and Sir Alex Ferguson’s does exactly that. The angry Scottish man has stayed on at the club in an unofficial manner by going to every match, home and away, rain or shine. While his presence dominates the club and is in no way at all helpful for any manager trying to succeed him, it makes for great entertainment for the rest of us.
Such entertainment culminated in a scowl that United fans across the world will be sharing in. If you had no clue what happened in Man. Utd’s dire defeat, then simply witnessing Ferguson’s stern and scary scowl would tell you all you need to know.
The game itself was terrible from a United perspective. The last few weeks had seen Louis Van Gaal’s side begin to take an upturn in form and with Arsenal and Manchester City faltering, had managed to give themselves an outside shot of the top four. However, with the Dutchman at the helm, the boring times are never far away, and lo and behold, he has been able to inspire such exciting football.
Juan Mata was stupidly sent off for two yellow cards in two first half minutes and in the second 45 minutes, the 10 men of United struggled to create anything against a stubborn West Brom defense. Solomon Rondon scored the all important goal to secure the surprise three points for the Baggies, but it was Ferguson’s scowl that stole the show.
