Los Angeles Rams running back Tre Mason was arrested in Hollywood, Florida Saturday on several charges including marijuana possession and reckless driving.

While the Los Angeles Rams already have a great running back tandem in Todd Gurley and Tre Mason, it seems that Mason got into some trouble in Hollywood, Florida on Saturday, as the former third round pick of the Rams was arrested on several charges, according to a Broward County police report.

Mason reportedly was caught driving 75 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour speed zone. He was arrested on four charges Saturday afternoon: resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, reckless driving, and not having his motor vehicle registered.

Mason did not want to cooperate with the police, by refusing to get out of his car, show his license, or even provide his name. The Broward County police offer supposedly had to use a taser on the Rams tailback. The police also found 12 grams of marijuana in Mason’s unregistered car.

According to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner, the Rams “are still gathering information” on Mason’s arrest.

There apparently was some sort of team meeting in Los Angeles Friday, but it still has not been determined if Mason was present at that meeting. With him being in the Hollywood on the East Coast as opposed to the one near where his employer is headquartered in Southern California, that seems unlikely at this time.

More information will certainly come out about Mason’s Saturday afternoon arrest in South Florida. However with the NFL’s substance abuse policy in place, the Rams should expect to have Mason suspended by the league at least a few games in the 2016 NFL season. If that’s the case, that means even more of a burden will be put on Gurley’s shoulders as the lone focal point of the Rams offensive attack in 2016.
