Lakers defeat Warriors handily: Twitter reacts

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors on Sunday and no this is not a lie

Sunday afternoon the highlight game of the day on ABC was the Golden State Warriors going on the road to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in what will be the final time that Kobe Bryant will see Stephen Curry and this team. Now essentially, there was probably not a person on this planet that gave the Lakers a chance in this one, but still, it would be fun to watch on a Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, well, if you thought Conor McGregor losing on Saturday night at UFC 196 was shocking, that might be nothing compared to what happened inside the Staples Center.

Not only did the Lakers win the game, but they more or less ran the Warriors out of the gym! Golden State in their sixth loss just couldn’t seem to put anything together, especially from beyond the three-point line. It was just one of those off days for the Warriors and at the same time, it was one of those (rare) awesome days for the Lakers. The stars really just aligned on this Sunday and the Lakers came away with the 112-95 win.

Of course, as you’d imagine, folks around the internet could not believe what they were seeing.


Okay, let’s just settle down, now.


This is not a joke, the win on Sunday really is the best thing they have accomplished all season. Good for them!
