What makes the Golden State Warriors so fun to watch is that they can score the basketball in a variety of ways. They’re highly unconventional at times and they’re so good at scoring in different ways, that they’ve began pretending that they’re football players on the court.
Against the Orlando Magic on Monday night, Warriors center Andrew Bogut took his position name literally and decided to hike the basketball right to Klay Thompson, who then proceeded to knock down the open jumper.
There was no silent count on the play, but with the deafening crowd, Thompson might have a hard time calling out a signal at the line. The good news is that the communication between center and quarterback was great and it resulted in a touchd…..two points for the Warriors.
The Warriors are looking to bounce back after a bad loss on Sunday, against the Los Angeles Lakers, and thus far on Monday night, they are out having fun and playing football during a basketball game. It’s not the typical offensive strategy in the NBA, but it’s clearly working for them.
