Lance Stephenson goes for layup, fails miserably (Video)

Memphis Grizzlies guard Lance Stephenson went for a big layup and ended up failing miserably.

Lance Stephenson might have his moments every now and then, but lately he’s been making highlights for all the wrong reasons. Whether it’s throwing a pass to a beer vendor or trying to take on giant centers and crashing to the floor, Stephenson has had his share of moments on the court he would like to forget.

With the Memphis Grizzlies taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, Stephenson tried to make a big play happen again and he ended up crashing to the floor once again in embarrassing fashion for his efforts. With Stephenson matching up one on one with Iman Shumpert, he made a nice move to get past Shumpert and have a clear path to the hoop.

It looked all good from there, but as fate would have it, Stephenson would go up at the hoop and lose all control and crash hard.

Even worse, Stephenson had to lay there on the ground and watch as play then went down to the other end of the court. Just when it looked like he was finally going to have his big moment, Stephenson ended up crashing and burning.

Give the man credit for trying at least.
