NFL Rumors: 5 free agent destinations for Robert Griffin III
By Josh Hill
The Washington Redskins released Robert Griffin III on Monday, but where will he play in 2016?
Robert Griffin III has officially been released by the Washington Redskins, ending a tumultuous era in the quarterback’s life — both professionally and personally.
But with the release comes freedom, as RGIII can now sign with whoever he wants and attempt to rebuild his once promising career into the success it looked like it might be his rookie year. While he faked out hard with Washington, there is hope that he can tap back into whatever made him special back in 2012 and become the guy we want to see him become in the NFL.
Washington won’t be offering him that chance, but there are a handful of the other 31 teams in the league that might be willing to give him a chance. RGIII’s time in Washington was less than amazing, but he has the tools that could be developed into something very special in the right situation.
The only question is, what situation is that?
