Sami Zayn seems like he may be debuting on the March 7 episode of WWE RAW from Chicago
WWE WrestleMania 32 is less than a month away and the cards is starting to take shape. A recent rumor, though, has put someone who’s not even currently on the main roster as having a match at WrestleMania in former NXT Champion and current NXT star Sami Zayn. The fact that he’s not on the main roster could be changing on the March 7 episode of WWE RAW from Chicago, Illinois.
On Monday afternoon, r/squaredcircle insider u/falconarrow again surfaced to say that everyone should tune in for WWE RAW on Monday night, teasing a surprise. Much like he did when he created buzz about a surprise that turned out to be Shane McMahon two weeks ago, falconarrow offered a bit of a hint as to what the surprise might be, saying that it would be a bit more “generic” than the Shane surprise.
Given that Sami Zayn worked on the independent scene—largely in Ring of Honor—as the masked luchador El Generico (allegedly, at least), that would seem to indicate that Zayn is coming up to the main roster on Monday night to start building to a match at WrestleMania 32.
Even better, the WWE RAW preview on WWE.com indicates that there will be developments as to what Kevin Owens will be doing going into Mania regarding the Intercontinental Championship. Zayn and Owens have a storied history together in and out of the ring and both on the independents and in NXT. Moreover, Zayn also eliminated Owens from the 2016 WWE Royal Rumble. If every wrestling fan’s dream is going to come true, Zayn’s rumored appearance on WWE RAW on Monday will move towards those two having a match in Dallas for WrestleMania.
This could be off, but it seems likely that Zayn is on WWE RAW in Chicago. Even if he isn’t, u/falconarrow has been tried and true in his insider information and something exciting will be happening.
