Diego Costa puts Chelsea within one goal on aggregate before halftime.

Paris Saint-Germain took a 2-1 lead in the first leg of this round of 16 matchup as the second leg is in Paris. With two away goals and Chelsea having an offseason, many were writing Chelsea off to advance to the round of 8 in the Champions League. After Adrien Rabiot put PSG up 1-0 early in the second leg, Chelsea had few hopes that they had any chance to advance.

Diego Costa brought Chelsea back to life. After a great combination play from the English Premier League side, Diego Costa took a defender on and beat the keeper to the far post to tie the second leg 1-1 and gives Chelsea life before halftime. Costa’s goal put Chelsea just one goal down in the aggregate, 3-2. They need one more goal to tie things up with PSG that would take this exciting second leg to extra time.

Diego Costa and Willian combined once again for the goal that put Chelsea level. They have been the heart and soul of this Chelsea attack throughout the year as Eden Hazard has virtually gone missing from this team, scoring less than a handful of goals this season.

The second half will bring much drama as Chelsea will look to tie things up. This could leave Chelsea vulnerable at the back and PSG could score a couple more, with Ibrahimovic always lurking.
