High Value SG

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (5,300): Booker continues to be the most reliable scoring option in the Suns offense which isn’t saying much since he’s so inconsistent himself.  Booker had a very nice run immediately after his promotion to the starting lineup, but cooled off after that. However, he has surged recently with over 29 fantasy points in three straight games including an impressive 47.25 fantasy points on Sunday in Memphis in the Suns win. He is a streaky scorer, and he should be in a place to produce as the Suns come back to Phoenix tonight and take on the Knicks.  Brandon Knigh’s return could take away some minutes and usage from him, but if Knight is still out, Booker will again be the focus of the Phoenix backcourt offense. No Knight-∗ With Knight-

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,900): Redick remains one of the best scoring options on the Clippers and had 24.25 fantasy points against the Thunder last week.  He’s usually right around that level of production and has at least that many fantasy points in six of his last seven games.  Redick knocked in 22 points against the Mavs on Monday, and will again be one of the top scoring options for LA as they take on Westbrook & Durant tonight. His price under 5K is a bargain, but he doesn’t have a super-high ceiling since he is pretty one-dimensional in his fantasy output.

Hollis Thompson-Philadelphia 76ers (3,900): Thompson has jumped right back into the Sixers rotation after missing a couple of games at the end of February and has scored double-digit points in each of his last three games.  He had 31.5 fantasy points against Miami on Friday  with a well-balanced 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block, and he played even more minutes (37) against the Heat on Sunday finishing with 22 fantasy points on 16 points and four boards.  Thompson is one of my favorite plays under 4K at any position tonight since he’s getting so much time in a matchup that I think he can exploit tonight against the Rockets. ∗∗

Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (3,900): Shumpert is another solid cheap flier at SG tonight with at least 20 fantasy points in three of his last five games, and is starting to earn his way to bigger minutes in the Cavs rotation under coach Tyronn Lue.  Shumpert had a standout 12-point, 16-rebound double-double against boston on Saturday, and had nine points and four rebounds in 22 minutes against Memphis.  He doesn’t offer the scoring potential that J.R. Smith does, but I like Shumpert as a bigger part of the Cavs rotation since he does so many of the other things well that Cleveland needs.  Some of those things don’t help you in fantasy since their more “glue” things that aren’t in a box score, but Shumpert’s increasing role makes him a risk with upside tonight.
