Memphis Grizzlies vs Boston Celtics
Starting the season off somewhat sluggishly, the Memphis Grizzlies knew that they needed to turn things around, and fast. In danger of slipping out of the playoff race early on, Memphis got things turned around, winning 17-of-23 games after beginning just 21-19 in the very tough Western Conference.

Marc Gasol is one of the most dominant big men in the league and he’s what makes the Grizzlies so hard to defend in the post. Well, him and Zach Randolph. Gasol is averaging 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game while the veteran Randolph is putting up 14.6 points and 7.9 boards. Mike Conley is the glue that holds everything together.
Who would have thought the Boston Celtics would have been one of the Eastern Conference’s best teams at this point in the year? Like the Grizzlies, Boston didn’t exactly get off to a scorching start, but have gone 19-7 since opening the year with a 19-19 mark. Brad Stevens is one of the best young coaches in the game and he’s making Boston great again.
Isaiah Thomas — no, not the former Detroit Pistons’ star — has been the most consistent player on the team, leading the Celtics with 21.8 points and 6.7 assists per game. Boston’s scoring attack is so balanced, yet so scary. The Celtics average over 106 points per game, which is good for fourth in the NBA this season.
