New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was caught giving an angry response to a New York City cabbie during a recent visit.
Anyone who has either lived in or visited New York City in their lifetime knows that cab drivers in the Big Apple aren’t exactly the most patient people in the world. It’s not always their fault, as some pedestrians like to take their sweet time crossing Fifth Avenue. In many cases, though, the cabbies will not hesitate to lay on their horns and “encourage” people to move faster.
Such was the case recently when one cabbie didn’t appreciate the speed at which a gentleman in his late 30s was using to cross the street with his wife. Only this wasn’t an average citizen…it was New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Giselle Bundchen. What happened next was Brady letting the cabbie have it with a salute to let the driver know who was number one:
Fans in the Big Apple aren’t going to give Brady credit for almost anything in life (except for blowing two Super Bowl appearances against the Giants over the last decade), but take a moment to look at the way he is flipping the bird. Brady shows perfect form, a straight finger that can’t be confused as to what he is doing and, most importantly, he makes sure to get his “TB12” hat into the shot by putting the finger high enough for it to get in the frame.
It’s moments like this that show why he is, in the eyes of many Boston sports fans and others around the globe, the best there is.
