Penn State Nittany Lions vs Ohio State Buckeyes
Pat Chambers has done an absolutely phenomenal job with the Penn State Nittany Lions this season. No, they won’t be making the NCAA Tournament, barring a miracle run in the Big Ten Tournament, but the Nittany Lions went from conference bottom-dweller to knocking off Indiana and Iowa in the second half of the season.

The turnaround could not have been possible if not for Brandon Taylor and Shep Garner. Taylor leads the team with 16.3 points and 6.5 rebounds, one of the more underrated players in the Big Ten, while Garner is right behind him with 14.5 points and 3.4 assists. Those are the only two in double figures, but keep an eye on Payton Banks as well.
When Thad Matta found out he would have to play the rest of the 2015-16 season without star sophomore and third-leading scorer, Jae’Sean Tate, his job of getting the Ohio State Buckeyes to the Big Dance got a whole lot tougher. It was clear that he was missed in the final three regular season games as the Buckeyes were blown out twice by Michigan State.
Tate was averaging 11.7 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 52 percent from the field before going down with an injury, putting a damper on an already thin rotation. Marc Loving has done his best, averaging a team-high 13.5 points to go along with 5.1 rebounds and Keita Bates-Diop is putting up 11.9 points and 6.4 rebounds.
